Types and Shapes of Things

"The Shape of Things to Come" is a work by H. G. Wells, which speculates on future events. It's also a song from "Battlestar Galactica". Things in Refinder are not at all futuristic, but come in different shapes and sizes.

Read about the different types of things that are available in Refinder and why.

Activity Streams

The central piece of a collaborative social network is the activity stream. In its basic form, the activity stream is a chronological list of content, that displays the activities of users and applications. In an enterprise social network like Refinder, the activity stream typically conveys business related content, including notes, links to files, bookmarks, business events, application statuses and other machine generated alerts.

Read about activity streams and how they help you to filter out the relevant.

Image Previews

You have asked for previews in feedback to us, a good addition to Refinder. Previews are now available. As a first step towards general file previews, Refinder is able to display image previews.

Read about uploading images and opening the preview.
